‘Aliens’ is a new series of sculptures by Olga Lomaka where she continues to explore a multilayered interface of meaning through a rich panoply of sources from our collective consciousness.

Humans have a lot of questions about alien life but those beings, if they exist, are likely have some questions of their own about us humans, instead: ’Are we studying aliens, or are they studying us’?

Lomaka contemplates that if aliens landed on Earth they would see two types of people: those who are desperate (screaming) and people who are dreaming and wishing (meditating). Their eyes are broadcasting thoughts of what our modern society is obsessed with: preoccupation with money, love, brands, drugs, technology.
